The Book Fair arrives in school on 21st November.  This time we have the children advertising and running it all;  great experience for our young entrepreneurs! Come and find us in the school library, from 3:30 to 4:30 – some great 1/2 price deals on offer, just in time for Christmas!

On Wednesday, 4th October, the year 4 children visited Tamworth Castle.  They had an excellent time and learnt all about life as a house servant for ‘my Lady’ – setting tables, polishing and sweeping.  They even discovered that salt was incredibly expensive in those days and had a ceremony all of its own!  The children also made pomanders out of oranges read more…

School Newsletter 5th September 2017

Congratulations to the children from last year’s Orangutans (now Pandas). They entered a poetry writing competition last term and we just found out on Friday that a number of them have been selected to have their poetry published! Well done to them all! Let’s see if we can enter some more writing competitions this year. Mrs Cormack

A huge well done to all of the Orangutans who have brought in their homework projects so far this week, they are truly amazing!  They range from ingenious ‘fold away’ pitches, tall towers and impressive flags to realistic grass and even battery operated lighting! The Scholastic Book Fair arrives again for our Summer Term on Friday 28th April. It will be set up in the library for the week, so please come and take a look at some of the fantastic new titles and great bargains!  There will also be a special £5 book fair voucher presented at random to one of our Book Fair read more…

As part of our new R.E topic, Mrs Foreman will be asking all Yr4 children (Orang-utans and Tigers) to bring in a photograph of a place which is special to them. Just to remind everyone that this Thursday is World Book Day, and to mark this we are holding a Book Swap Shop. Children need to bring the books that they would like to swap with into school on Thursday morning. During the day, all classes will have the opportunity to visit the Swap Shop and choose another book to take home.  Anyone read more…

English Homework: The children have been asked to write their own Magic Potion. Maths Homework: Revision of reading scales – check the number sequences first. Please ask if you child needs support – Homework Club runs on Monday and Wednesday lunchtime with Mrs Duggins, 12:00 – 12:30.
