I am looking for some willing parents to some into school and test children with their times tables. If you have half an hour to spare once a week, at either 8:50 or 3:00, then I would love to hear from you. Thank you Mrs Staddon

All the children are busy learning songs and /or dance moves for our summer production. We would like as many children as possible to attend the evening performances, to help bring our show alive. Well done to our new winners of the Springfield Spelling Bee Summer 2018.  It was a very tense afternoon at times, but everyone dug deep and produced some amazing spellings!  We even had to fetch a couple of dictionaries for the ‘head to heads’ as we had run out of words. The choir sang in Eureka park on Tuesday evening at the ‘Choirs in the park ‘ concert. It was a wonderful sunny evening and they certainly did school proud! Head over to our facebook page to see a video clip and some lovely comments from the audience.  

  Dance in the Forest info ….. I have just had this information emailed through regarding tickets: I am delighted to confirm ticket details for Dance in the Forest on Wednesday 13th June. Tickets will be on sale from tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd May 2018) from Swadlincote Tourist Information Centre, priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. Tickets can read more…

Well done to those children who are through to the next round of the Springfield Spelling Bee!  The Grand Final will be held in the afternoon of next Tuesday (23rd May), so don’t forget to brush up on the new list of additional words, and anymore that you think may crop up.  Good luck everyone!
