The dreaded SATs tests have now finished and we can all breathe a sigh of relief and get back to normal timetables and routines in school. I must say that our Y6 pupils have displayed incredibly positive attitudes and have tackled the tests with confidence and enthusiasm which is exactly what I asked them to do. The tests themselves were read more…

I can’t believe it’s less than a week since our Y3 classes took part in the May Day celebrations at Eureka Park alongside the Y2s from Elmsleigh. All four classes did amazingly well after just one practice session each and I know that Charlotte (the lady who organised the event) was really pleased with how well it went and is read more…

It’s been lovely to see everyone back in school after a well-deserved Easter break and I must say that the vast majority of people are displaying a very positive mind-set which is exactly what we want to see in school. This fits in exactly with the work the staff did on our INSET day when we learned new ways to read more…

We’re finally at the end of term and everyone is looking forward to the Easter break after a busy and productive few weeks.

However, I would like to say thank you for the donations that read more…

Parent consultation meetings can be a stressful time for everyone involved but I must say that the vast majority of meetings were very positive and it was really good to have the opportunity to chat to parents and carers and share positive news. It’s only when you stop and reflect on what you can do now compared to September that read more…

I’m going to keep my blog short and sweet this week for several reasons, the first of which is because I’m disappointed once again with the response to my question. I obviously won’t give up and stop writing it because that’s not in my nature and I wouldn’t be setting a very good example but I need others to show read more…

It’s been a very busy week in school with lots of exciting things happening, starting off on Monday with our Y4 Harry Potter Wow day. I must admit that the teachers really rose to the challenge with their costumes as well as the children and facilitated a day full of fun learning activities. Mrs Cormack’s potion class demonstrated the importance read more…
