I’ll keep this blog short and sweet as we’ve a busy week ahead and I have lots to prepare! The focus this week of course has been on the KS2 SATs which ran daily from Monday through to Thursday. I could not have asked for any more from Y6 (staff as well as pupils) and it was great to see read more…

It was lovely to be able to enjoy the sunshine over the bank holiday weekend and to have the chance to recharge our batteries ready for the busy weeks ahead before the half-term holiday. The bank holiday weekend is almost upon us and I must say that I am hoping that the weather forecast is correct and we are set to enjoy some warm and sunny weather. It was a great night and lots of people went home with bags full of chocolate and Easter themed goodies.

Last week we were struggling with the “Beast from the East” and the snow and ice but I am pleased to say that everything is back to normal and we’re all back in our routines and working hard to catch up. It’s great testament to everyone in school that we are able to demonstrate resilience and have the ability to read more…

It’s hard to believe that we’re only a couple of weeks away from spring following the snow and ice we’ve experienced this week! It has certainly caused chaos and although we made the decision to close school as a result of the weather we have been incredibly lucky in comparison to other parts of the country. The snow makes everything read more…

It was lovely to see parents in school on Monday morning to join us for lessons; even if some of them did end up doing a Maths test! Governors have also been in school this week to carry out a Learning Walk to monitor learning behaviours and they commented on the calm and productive atmosphere in classes which is very read more…
