It’s hard to believe that this is my last blog for the 2017/ 18 school year and that we’ve got just one week let before we break up for the holidays. Where has the time gone?!

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I have been absolutely bowled over by the standard of the performances in this week’s production of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies. The quality of the acting, comic timing, staging, singing and costumes all contributed to three days of fabulous performances and I am an incredibly proud head-teacher. We definitely have some read more…

This will be another short and sweet blog as I want to get it written and uploaded to show you all in assembly this morning. As I said in assembly on Monday, I am incredibly disappointed at the lack of commitment shown in taking responsibility for checking the blog to see what’s been happening and what is planned for the read more…

This week’s blog will be one of the shortest ever as I’ve only got 15 minutes in which to update you on this week’s news! Thanks to FoS for organising Film Night and to the teachers who came along to help. I’m not sure how much was raised but it’s all for a very good cause so fingers crossed it read more…

It’s been so busy this week that it’s hard to believe we’ve only been back for a few days! Year 6 are, of course undergoing final preparations for SATs next week but I must say that they seem very calm and focused which is exactly read more…

The bank holiday weekend is almost upon us and I must say that I am hoping that the weather forecast is correct and we are set to enjoy some warm and sunny weather. Blue skies and sunshine never fail to lift the mood and make everyone feel so much more cheerful than cold, grey days although, as always, I must read more…

I must say that I am still smiling after this morning’s Super Student assembly when I presented over 80 certificates to pupils who have shown real commitment, determination and hard-work to fulfil the range of criteria. It was especially heart-warming to see a handful of children who had previously lost awards earning them back; proving that resilience and tenacity are read more…

Spring has finally arrived and it’s been lovely to be able to get out in the sunshine at long last. I’m very pleased with the number of children who took the advice in my text this morning and arrived with sun hats, sunglasses, sun screen and plenty of water to keep them hydrated. It’s wonderful to be able to enjoy read more…
